Bear Den South is owned and operated by Paul and Liz Johnson from Cincinnati, Ohio. The couple treats the lakehouse and cabin like their own homes and they regularly go down to visit both areas. As busy business owners and parents to four kids, Liz and Paul love to get away! They enjoy escaping to the cabin and lakehouse in Tennessee to spend time with their large family, ride motorcycles, go boating and enjoy the scenery that each house has to offer! 

Liz and Paul have designed both properties to be a relaxing and fun getaway for happy couples and families much like themselves. Paul works hard to maintain and renovate the rental properties. Liz is the master mind behind the home's furnishing that makes each property cozy and beautiful. She also works hard to manage each rental homes operations, inquiries and updates. Together, they put their heart and soul into creating an unforgettable rental experience for their guests.

Renee Sabo, Property Assistant

As one of Liz and Paul's daughters, Renee has been able to enjoy getaways at the lakehouse and cabin for years now. Renee graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Communications in 2006 and she currently lives in Boston, MA, where she graduated from Suffolk University with her MBA in 2013 and now runs her own business as a Wedding & Event Planner. She has a strong passion and talent for event planning, traveling and web design, so it is no surprise that she has helped develop and manage the website, social media sites and property inquiries for Bear Den South Properties. Renee loves going down to stay at both the lakehouse and the cabin with her family and friends, and she plans to visit again this May for a long, warm and relaxing getaway!
